I had my first presentation here in Spain on the culture of Andalusia Madrid, and Catalan Spain. It was a group project so three friends and I worked hard all week to get it done (we were the first group to present). 8:30 this morning we got in front of our culture/history class and rocked the presentation! Our teacher loved it! Not only did we have a lot of great, relavent information, we explained things to her liking and asked the class questions along the way. She kept saying we asked very good questions! Last night there was a news announcement about a machine in Madrid that makes food molds in cool designs using US technology, so I made this connection as well and she was very impressed. For being the first group, she said we did great and would get a good grade. I'm pretty excited.
Today was Lauren's 21st birthday (a girl here from UNH), so we took her out for cupcakes! I know, a typical 21st birthday thing to do. But seriously, she couldn't have asked for anything better!
Also, wonderful news! Mommy is staying at the house with us when she visits NEXT WEEK!!!! I am beyond excited to see her and am anxiously awaiting her arrival. She is going to have a blast, everyone is looking forward to meeting her! Ahhhh, I can't wait!
