Mom's First Day in Granada

Today was mom's first day in Granada! I went to class early while she slept in, and when I got back at 10 we went to the grocery store to buy food for lunch. Big Beatriz had class until 2:30, so we told her we would be in charge of cooking lunch! We decided to make chicken with mixed vegetables with pasta, and man was it good! We cooked up zucchini, broccoli, onions, and mushrooms and added the pasta and chicken. Everyone loved it of course!

I had more class after lunch so mom stayed at the house and hung out and talked with the family. When I got back she was chatting it up in the kitchen, doing very well speaking spanish too! Ana brought out the Headbands game so we all played that until dinner time.

After dinner mom showed Ana and Beatriz the Spanish game she had been using on her ipad to help her learn spanish. They thought the game was awesome so they played it with her. I kept laughing because the game helped you practice sayings like "The horse eats apples" and "The turtle eats bread." Obviously those are phrases that you need to know when you are in Spain. Nevertheless, it was really cute to watch Ana and my mom practicing languages together. I went to shower, and then two of them cuddled on the bed playing games until I got back. I think Ana has a new best friend.

I also moved my bed into mom's room for a while. Nicole hasn't been feeling well, plus now I get some quality cuddle time with the best mom in the world! Pretty much the best thing I could ask for right about now!
