Today I went to the Alhambra! It was absolutely unbelievable! I thought looking at it from a distance was cool, but that doesn't even do it justice! It was beautiful. It is like a little town enclosed by walls. There are several different parts with huge walls and tunnels. It was very very chilly within the walls. Our professor had warned us, but not nearly enough. My toes froze within an hour of being there, and I had fleece lined tights and smart wool socks on! Nevertheless, it was worth it!

The hole in the roof was used as a defense mechanism; things could be thrown on the intruders without sacrificing men. |

We then went into the palace of the Alhambra with had the prettiest gardens and fountains and architecture. The carvings on the wall were amazing and everything was just so different. I could've spent days there had it been warmer. There are three sections to the palace, Mexwar, Comarex, and Los Leones. We walked through all the parts and learned about the history of each section which was very interesting.

The Alhambra continued to a site called Generalife, which was considered the summer home back in the day. It is filled with green gardens and waterfalls and fountains, words and pictures don't do it justice. I was in shock. The views were beautiful.

We went to Javier's sister's house for lunch! She lives in a town right outside of Granada; her house is very cute and homey. She lives there with her boyfriend, they are adorable. The girls were spending the night there, along with their two cousins, so she had quite the full house. She made us Italian food which was delicious! We had alfredo with bacon, and then pasta with sauce and hamburger (like american chop suey). Both were delicious and I ate like a king! After food we went up to their game room. There was this driving device thing, which had a car seat with a steering wheel, pedals and shifter and all sorts of stuff for driving. Apparently Estella's boyfriend made it so he could play racing games, it was so cool! I had never seen something like that before. I got to play playstation with it. I wasn't very good and it was kinda difficult, but it was very fun!
I did a lot of homework when I got home, and then went out for the night!
