I had a typical day of volunteering at the high school followed by class. Mom on the other hand had quite the day! She got up and helped Beatriz hang the laundry, and then walked with Nicole and I to class. We had to leave her to walk alone, so I gave her my cell phone and keys and said good luck and to call if she had problems. I went back to the apartment, and Mom returned shortly after. She had quite the adventure wandering around the city. From the looks of her pictures, she covered a lot of ground and saw various parts of Granada. She had a great time.

We all had lunch together at the house, and then Mom and I took a nap. At 6 Javier invited us to go out for chocolate and churros at his favorite place, so we joined him and Beatriz while the girls were at English class. After eating we picked up the girls and went for a family walk around the center. We went to the chocolate store, Abuela Ili, which Nicole and I showed to our family (it's now their favorite place! and we introduced it to them! The store is great because they have tons of types of chocolate, and you can try them all for free!). We then walked to a church that is typical in Granada, and a fountain that Mom kept referring to as the Trevi Fountain. Mom is having a wonderful time here, she has had a lot of time to bond with the family which is exactly what she wanted. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, and she already feels like part of their family. It's so nice that she gets to stay in the apartment with us, it has given her the opportunity to talk in Spanish, and Javier can practice his English with her. They're becoming good friends. Even Mom and Beatriz are becoming friends, despite the language barrier! It makes me so excited, I love that everyone is one big happy family!
